Will is extremely knowledgeable and very down to earth. He answers questions, gives direction, and gives the necessary feedback. This class was an amazing experience and a valuable investment in my woodworking career.

    Thank you, Will. 👊🤙

The Kodee Three Chair Build class was an amazing experience, both from a technical perspective and a design perspective. The techniques and execution used in the make up of this chair we’re almost entirely new to me and Will was able to help me go from raw lumber to a beautiful piece. Tons of laughs, very friendly helpful crew, 10/10 would recommended!

I loved this class! Will has a great eye for design, and building this chair with his guidance was a great experience. Will is a very involved instructor that gives you the knowledge you need to succeed and avoid major mistakes, but enough freedom to feel like you’re still building it yourself. He gives great constructive criticism, but also takes feedback well. I would not hesitate to take another course with Will.

This class was amazing!!! The class was spread over five days which gave us plenty of time to learn, mess up, fix our mistakes, and walk out with a radical chair! Going through this experience with others was a huge benefit. Will is an incredible teacher, artist, and craftsman!!!

William was very knowledgeable and helpful during the chair making build; he was able to answer all the questions we had for him. He also fostered a community environment where everybody felt okay to act like themself, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. 11/10 overall, thanks Will!

William is the MAN!! The class was really fun and I learn a lot!! it almost didn’t feel like a class (in a good way). I felt like a week with the boys doing woodworking in the shop. I’ve taken other woodworking classes before and this one is has to be my favorite so far. I ended the week with a bad a** chair I am extremely proud of. It was only 4 students including my self so you definitely got that one on one with Will if you needed more help or had questions. 13.6/10 would recommend!

The Kodee Chair class was a fantastic experience. The patience and experience of William Douglas and his team helped to facilitate a deeper understanding of the woodworking process for me. Not only did I make a beautiful piece of furniture, I also made a handful of lifelong friends. I highly recommend the class regardless of your experience level. Everyone will benefit and come out better than when they began. Two thumbs up!

Will’s class is unmatched when it comes to detail and overall value. I thought I was just paying for a chair building class but quickly discovered that Will, Josh, Eric, and Jedi had more planned. Every moment in between tasks turned into a good conversation over coffee. When I needed advice for other projects I was working on, the team lent a hand. I felt part of their shop and the community the very first day thanks to their welcoming culture. Will’s attention to detail is contagious and will turn everyone into a true artist by the end of the week. I couldn’t appreciate more for what this class left me with. I feel that everyone who has an interested in heirloom furniture (or the craft) should experience this class.

The kodee-three chair class was an awesome experience! I enjoyed “hanging out” and building a chair with a cool group of guys all with varying woodworking skill levels. We all produce stunning looking chairs that anyone would be proud of. Will and his crew are skilled in many ways and make this class the best learning experiences I’ve ever had.

This week was the best use of vacation time I’ve had in years. My expectation coming in was to learn how to make a beautiful chair. I not only walked away with a chair but also so much more. Will is a great teacher but more importantly a person who attracts and grows super cool and talented people around him which he was more than willing to share that part of his life with students.

Overall, learned new skills, made new friends and was welcomed into a cool group of people in the Phoenix area.

I’ll be back to make the bench!

I chose to attend the Kode-Three Chair Build class because William’s designs aligned the aesthetic I wish to achieve. His attention to detail, passion and vision for craftsmanship are infectious. The class provides a controlled environment that is safe yet pushes ingenuity which allowed my skillset reach to new limits. Will’s patience make him approachable when mistakes are made and quickly offers solutions that keep the integrity of the original build. His methodical approach to design ignite a fire of creativity. WDC has cultivated a unique culture of community that quickly draws you in from the moment you enter the shop. I was a little sad when the week was over. Time flew by! At the end I left with a refined outlook at design, a sharper skillset, a fully finished Kodee-Three Heirloom Chair and most importantly new friends. 1000% worth the investment. Plus my boy makes a killer latte.

The Chair Build class is a well structured 5-day workshop that takes students through the process of cutting and milling rough sewn walnut to constructing a finished mid-century modern chair. Will is a master wood worker offering direction, instruction ands hands on assistance whenever needed. The class was made of a small group of students with a wide range of wood working experience. I am a amature wood worker and the class allowed me to extend my wood working skills. The small class allows for discussions and exchanging of ideas throughout the process. Everyone in the class went home with a completed chair at the end of the week. I met some great people in the class. This class lived up to all of my expecxtations and more. THANKS WILL !! I’ll be back.

Meditation retreat meets German engineering project. You learn life skills such as patience together with the value of precision. Will is a mentor as well as a teacher. This means he attracts people you want to hang with. You will not regret joining him on the journey, altogether it was the most fulfilling week I have had in a long time.

After following Will for several years on social media, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend his latest chair class. Will provides a safe environment for woodworkers of any skill level. The small class size allowed for a lot of hands on time and helped to build on each of our respective skillsets. I learned a lot from Will’s high attention to detail, design mindset and his approach to incrementally refining work. Will has a great thing going for him with the community he is trying to build around his shop. It is one of the most satisfying and fulfilling weeks I have had.
